The Challenge

Metronome Online is an established, free web platform for musicians to practice, be inspired, find new music, and more.

Metronome Online needed a strategic marketing team to ensure their brand new app launched smoothly and with maximum impact.

In order to do that, Metronome Online had to re-engage a dormant audience, not only to share the good news, but to get critical feedback that would help define the end-product.

Metronome Online needed a renewed sense of community surrounding this important milestone and a place to keep their users informed and engaged with updates leading up to the launch.

Once the app was ready, Metronome Online needed a landing page that would encourage their community to download the Metronome Online app.

The Solution

We segmented an audience of over 40,000 in order to engage only the most active users. We ended up surveying 14,000 people asking key questions that would help shape the outcome of the Metronome Online app.

We created a Facebook Group to build a supportive environment where group members could share their knowledge, ask questions, give and receive feedback and inspiration.

We crafted a giveaway contest in order to encourage our list of 40,000+ people to join the new Facebook Group. To enter the giveaway contest, we asked our followers to introduce themselves and submit videos of themselves playing a song within the group.

This sparked a flurry of engagement and really revealed the diverse range of musicians in the Metronome Online community across the world.

Leading up to and upon launching the app, we kept the user base updated and engaged every step of the way through video and an email campaign.

We successfully built up a sense of anticipation and excitement. We then leveraged that buzz to announce the official app launch alongside the winners of the giveaway contest via a personal, heartfelt video within the Facebook Group.

Last but certainly not least, we built a stunning landing page where anyone could download the Metronome Online app for iOS or Android and learn more about Metronome Online’s story.

The Metronome Online community continues to grow everyday with talented people joining from around the globe. Musicians everywhere continue to practice better using Metronome Online in their daily routine and the team is about to launch the app's next big release.
